Cookie Policy

At a glance

Essential storage for sign-in, security, and remembering this notice. There is no optional analytics or advertising storage to accept or reject on the current site.

Effective

Our current use of storage

Rogency is operated by Rohan Ahmed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This policy explains browser storage used by the current website for account access, security, and the cookie notice.

We do not currently enable optional analytics or advertising storage on this website. The cookie notice is informational: acknowledging it records that you have seen it. It does not authorize optional tracking, marketing, or unrelated use of your information.

There are no optional categories to accept or reject at present. You can read the site without acknowledging the notice. Features such as signing in may still use the storage necessary to provide that feature.

Cookies and localStorage explained

A cookie is a small browser record that can be sent back to the website with a request. LocalStorage keeps a record in the browser for a particular website; it is not automatically sent with each request.

The authentication cookies below use secure HTTPS connections, are not readable by page scripts, and use a SameSite setting to limit when the browser sends them across sites. They support sign-in and session protection.

Storage for your notice preference is separate from your account. Acknowledging the notice does not sign you in, and signing out does not necessarily remove your notice preference.

Storage used by this website

The following records are used when the relevant feature is accessed:

__Secure-better-auth.session_token

Type
First-party cookie
Purpose
Keeps you signed in to your Rogency account. It is used for authenticated account and client-portal features.
Duration
Up to 7 days from issue or renewal. An active session can be renewed after 24 hours; signing out clears the Rogency session.

__Secure-better-auth.state

Type
First-party cookie
Purpose
Binds a Google or GitHub sign-in attempt to your browser and helps protect the authentication flow.
Duration
5 minutes. It is associated with the sign-in flow, not an advertising profile.

rogency.cookie-notice.v1

Type
First-party localStorage
Purpose
Remembers that you acknowledged this site’s essential-storage notice. The record contains a notice version and the time of acknowledgment; it is not a tracking identifier or a grant of optional consent.
Duration
The site treats the acknowledgment as expired after 180 days and can show the notice again. Unlike a cookie, localStorage has no built-in expiry; the site checks the timestamp when it reads the preference.

The sign-in cookies are associated with Rogency's own domain. Google and GitHub operate their own sign-in pages and may use their own cookies when you visit those services.

Cloudflare Turnstile and external services

When enabled on an inquiry form, Cloudflare Turnstile helps distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. Its script and challenge may process browser information. The server verifies the response with Cloudflare using the response token and request IP address.

Turnstile behavior, any provider-managed security storage, and its duration depend on Cloudflare's configuration and the challenge involved. This website does not specify a fixed lifetime for that provider-managed storage. We do not classify Turnstile as an optional analytics or advertising service.

Read Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy information for its handling of challenge data. Our Privacy Policy explains the other service providers involved in inquiries, accounts, projects, payments, and backups.

Opening an external sign-in, payment, or other linked service takes you to that provider's own cookie and privacy practices. Our notice does not give consent on behalf of those services.

Your controls

Use Cookie settings in the website footer to reopen the notice and review the current use of storage. The notice does not contain optional-tracking switches because no such categories are enabled.

You can clear the notice preference or other website storage using your browser settings. Clearing the notice preference makes the notice eligible to appear again. Blocking or removing authentication cookies may sign you out or prevent sign-in features from working.

Use Rogency's sign-out control to end your Rogency session. This does not sign you out of Google, GitHub, or other external providers. Clearing browser storage is also different from requesting deletion of account or project records; for those requests, contact hello@rohanahmed.net.

Changes and questions

We will update this policy if the website's use of storage changes. If we introduce optional storage that requires consent, we will explain the purpose and provide a choice before enabling it. An earlier acknowledgment of this essential-storage notice will not count as that consent.

For questions, contact Rohan Ahmed at hello@rohanahmed.net. Read our Privacy Policy for broader information handling and rights, and our Terms & Conditions for use of the website.
